Take Responsibility For Your Actions

What does it mean to take responsibility of your actions? It means being accountable and answerable for whatever you do, especially when there a consequence. Lets take a peek into the word of God concerning taking responsibility for one's action.

The bible in the book of Proverbs 23:7 says; 'for he is the kind of man who is always thinking about the cost. "Eat and drink," he says to you, but his heart is not with you.' (NIV)

How often do we blame others, situations or circumstances for our misfortunes or problems? The Lord has given us everything that we need. We must learn to look inwards. We must take responsibility for our actions or inactions.

If you wish to be a good leader or even a good follower, you must learn to take 100% full responsibility of what happens around you. Shifting such responsibilities to others is an escapist theory which responsible leaders or followers must not engage in.

Jesus demonstrated this in many ways. He accepted to die for the sins of mankind in order to bring salvation to humanity. He declared unequivocally that He is the way, the truth and life through which man can get to God. He accepted the responsibility of leading man back to his creator in reconciliation after the fall of man. He did not shift the responsibility to angels, Lucifer the devil who is the root cause of the fall, or any other. He is indeed our perfect example.

Often times we engage in the blame game. We blame the devil for every wrong actions and mistakes or sins. We often hear "It is the work of the devil" even when it's so apparent that you were drawn away by your own lust. If you can boldly take responsibility for your actions, you will be careful to live right without allowing room for the devil to have any influence on you.

Interestingly, you have to be acknowledged by others as someone who is responsible before you can fit in to being a responsible person. It's not you that will identify yourself as one who is responsible.

Stop blaming others, situations or circumstances, the witches in your village, etc for the happenings around you, for your ups and downs. Learn to take responsibility for your actions and you will experience God's divine success in all your positive steps and actions.

Taking responsibility also connotes removing negative thoughts from your mind and being positive with happenings around you.

If you want to be successful in life you gotta take the Bull by the horn, learn to take responsibility today. It's only when you take responsibility for your actions can you truly move on and walk the path of success.

Go on your knees and pray to your father almighty thanking him for all his provisions He made through Jesus Christ to bring salvation to you and ask God to help you to take responsibility for your actions and to take positive steps towards salvation and success in life.
